The Blood Sea of Istar
Also called the Nightmare Sea.
Approximate location: The Blood sea of Istar is over the top of where Istar used to be. It is on the northeast border of Ansalon, north of Goodlund and Balifor, east of Khur, and south east of Nordmaar.
Key figures: The maelstrom
What happened there: A lot of ships go down because of the Maelstrom. Istar is of coarse at the bottom of it, and the Blood Sea was formed during the Cataclysm when Istar was destroyed. It is red not from blood, but from the color of the mud that the maelstrom churns up.
What happened there: The Blood Sea of Istar was formed during the Cataclysm, when the whole landscape of Krynn was changed.
